Pick & Pack

Mandata Contracts have combined their core services of transport and storage to provide a combined service which form important links in the supply chain management (distribution) process known as Warehouse and Delivery.

In layman’s terms companies who supply products to consumers, retailers or wholesalers can trust Mandata Contracts to be their warehouse and delivery (or storage & transport) partner. (See previous section on Warehouse & Delivery.)

As part of the supply chain management (or distribution process) there is a requirement for goods to be removed from main storage in discrete quantities and potentially different items.

For example Mandata Contracts store (and deliver) dozens of different items of furniture for Go Modern (see case study).
The residential customer may order several different items on the same order; e.g. a large divan bed, dining room table, four chairs, a sideboard and bedside cabinet.

Mandata will then perform a “Pick & Pack” service for Go Modern and their customer. The items will be removed from storage, packed up into one bundle, placed carefully on a vehicle and delivered directly to the customers home address complete with consignment note and invoice. There is also no need to worry about the delivery schedule as we take care of that too. We understand the logistics of delivering items to business and residential customers alike. We ensure that the whole process runs as smoothly as possible and this includes liaising with the end customer and double checking the delivery address, time of day they will be in, the date and person who must sign for the items are all correct and agreed so that all parties are happy. next>>
